Football Betting Lines

11/26/2008 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber and Atlanta Falcons punt returner Harry Douglas have been selected as the NFC's top players for Week 12 of the NFL season.

Brees went 20-of-26 for 323 yards and four touchdowns, as the New Orleans Saints trounced the Green Bay Packers 51-29 on Monday night. The signal-caller had two touchdown passes of 70 yards and held a passer rating of 157.5, a new career-high, against the third-ranked pass defense in the league coming into the game. It marks his third weekly award this season and ninth of his career.

Barber had two interceptions, one of which he returned 65 yards for a touchdown, in the Buccaneers' 38-20 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He also recorded three tackles and two passes defensed while scoring his 13th career touchdown in the game. Barber has 11 touchdowns on fumble or interception returns in the regular season in his career, which is most among active players and third in the history of the NFL. This marks his eighth career weekly honor.

Douglas had a 61-yard punt return for a touchdown, added a seven-yard rushing touchdown and led the Falcons with 92 receiving yards in a 45-28 win over the Carolina Panthers. He finished with 188 all-purpose yards and the rushing touchdown in the first quarter was the first score of his career. It is the first weekly award of the rookie's career.

Other players considered for the awards included Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens, Washington running back Clinton Portis, Chicago linebacker Lance Briggs, Minnesota cornerback Antoine Winfield, New York Giants punter Jeff Feagles and Minnesota kicker Ryan Longwell.

Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds

Will he or won't he?  Now that the Dallas Cowboys have a new head coach in Wade Phillips, the big question will be: Does Terrell Owens stay with the team.

Jerry Jones continues to suggest that Terrell Owens will remain with the team.

"I've said that he's back, he's here, he's under contract," Jones said. "In the interviews I've just been through (to hire a new coach), it was very clear to me how highly he's thought of and how much of an impact he had on our offensive success."

Just to be sure though, Terrell Owens cleared out his locker and removed his name plate.

Terrell Owens was among the Cowboys most productive players this past season, catching 85 passes for 1,180 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns.

But T.O. is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, then a $5 million salary this season. Cutting him before then would save a lot of money and headaches.

Aside from the questions surrounding Terrell Owens, the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have concerns over starting quarterback Tony Romo's state of mind and whether he will remain a starting quarterback.  It is also not known how players will adjust to new head coach, Wade Phillips.

Here are the football odds as seen at MySportsbook.com and subject to change after February 10, 2007 if not locked in prior to that date.
